What do you do when who you are conflicts with what you do? Most businesses and inventions are born out of necessity. This is how and why s.h.e was started. Dr. Kelly Nicholson-Hairston examines the current business culture and its impact on Christian woman of multicultural backgrounds and develops concrete solutions with Biblical Foundations. As the name states, through study, prayer and supplication the company creates Sustainable, Holistic, Evolution (s.h.e.) for the modern multicultural Christian woman.
s.h.e is a place for female Christian leaders of multicultural backgrounds in both the private and public sectors to find answers to situations they find perplexing. We tackle without apology, the struggles that are faced in business on a consistent basis such as failed diversity policies, unacknowledged cultural differences, preconceived bias, and systemic partisanship. According to Subha Barry, in her article on www.nbcnews.com, on average, 50% of multicultural women will leave their positions in Corporate America within the next two years. When we examine trends among multicultural Christian women within the millennial age range, we find that not only are they leaving corporations in steady numbers; but they are choosing to never opt in.
Developed by Dr. Kelly Nicholson-Hairston in the spring of 2020 during the height of the COVID Worldwide Pandemic, s.h.e. tackles the issues that many women of multicultural backgrounds struggle with internally while leading influential corporations, non-profits, and businesses. While many of the opportunities faced are born of external influences, many are steeped in internal conflict as well. s.h.e provides training and information regarding decision making that is in keeping with the multicultural Christian woman’s ethical guidelines and Biblical foundations. We provide information in the form of online training, books, blog, discussion groups and podcasts. We are here to help you navigate the slippery slop of leadership.
